Chapter Eighteen

(Warning: slightly mature)
Sunlight came seeping in through the curtains. It landed over Khushi and woke her up. Khushi blinked and adjusted to the light and then realized her surroundings: she was in Arnav's room, in his bed. Khushi thought back to the day before and blushed as she thought of last night. She looked down and saw Arnav's chest, and then she looked up. Arnav was still asleep, his head tilted so that it was resting on her head. Reaching out, she carefully caressed his face. She let her fingers travel to his soft hair and she lightly sighed, feeling contempt.

She was no longer Khushi Kumari Gupta, but Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada. Thinking of her new name made her heart flutter. Being with Arnav meant everything to her. She was now a part of him, mentally and physically, and she blushed once more. Not only was she apart of him, but a part of his family.

That's when Khushi remembered. Slowly and carefully, she got up, so that she wouldn't disturb Arnav. She went over to the wardrobe and picked out a beautiful red sari and headed to the bathroom to wash up and shower. When she came out, Arnav was still asleep. He had moved slightly but he was still asleep.

Khushi began to dry her hair with the towel she had wrapped around her head. She stood in front of the mirror and put in her moisturizer and was about to take a pinch of her vermillion, when Arnav groaned.

Arnav moved and placed his arm where Khushi would've been. "Babe, where are you?"

Khushi smiled. "Over here."

Arnav smiled and then opened his eyes. "Good morning, Mrs. Raizada."

"Good morning Mr. Raizada," Khushi blushed.

Arnav moved the blanket aside and stood up as Khushi placed the towel down. When she looked back up at him, her eyes widened. They went down and shot back up to his. Arnav was still tired and was stretching when he saw Khushi's expression. That's when he realized he was naked. Khushi instantly turned around and went red. She couldn't believe she his thing(italics)! Arnav looked down at himself and smirked at Khushi. She was hesitant, nonstop tucking her hair behind her ear. Arnav found her innocence really cute and went over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, making Khushi gasp.

"Ar-"

"Were you just checking me out," Arnav teased.

"N-n-no," she stuttered.

"Didn't seem like it."

Arnav rubbed his nose from her shoulder to her neck. Khushi clutched onto her sari and stood still, feeling delicious tingles run through her body. Arnav began to suck and nibble on her neck and Khushi got worried. She needed to hurry downstairs because she wanted to make breakfast and tea for everyone.

She kept thinking of a way for Arnav to stop, but then she began to wonder if she should continue to call Arnav as "Arnav" or "Arnavji". But then her thoughts were disturbed as she felt something at her behind. And instantly, she knew very well what that something(italics) was, and she gasped.

"I guess you've figured that I want you right now," Arnav teased.

He pressed his body closer to hers and Khushi gasped again at the feeling of his erection.

Arnav placed small, fluttery kisses behind her ear. "But as much as I badly want you, I'll let you go."

Arnav loosened his grip and let her go. Khushi let her breath go, not even realizing when she was holding it in the first place. Arnav quickly pecked her cheek and left towards the bathroom, grabbing some clothes from the wardrobe as he left.

When the door shut, Khushi held onto the vanity table and blushed. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Slowly bringing her hand up, she felt her cheek, where he had just kissed her. She blushed again and bit her pinky.

Ab baas kar Khushi, she said in her head. Niche jana hain ki nehi?

She checked her reflection and readjusted herself. She was about to leave, when she realized she was missing one thing: the vermillion through her parting. She went to pick up the tiny pot, when a hand reached out and took it. She looked up and saw Arnav.

"What are-"

"Shh," he said, putting his finger to his lips.

Opening it, he took a pinch of vermillion and placed it right through her parting. Khushi shut her eyes as she felt his fingers move through. When she looked back up at him, Arnav had a small smile playing on his lips. Khushi smiled as well and hugged him. Arnav wrapped one arm around her waist and placed his other hand through her hair.

"I love you Khushi," Arnav murmured in her hair.

"I love you too," she sniffled.

Arnav pulled away and tilted her face up. "Baby, why are you crying?"

Khushi shook her head. "I'm not. I'm just happy."

Arnav smiled and kissed her. "I'll see you downstairs. Hmm?"

Khushi nodded. "'Kay."

Arnav kissed her once more and left to shower. Khushi smiled happily and looked in the mirror. Biting her lip, she turned and left, ready to begin her daughter in-law duties. Going down the hall, she went to the grand staircase and went down. Going around the right, she went to the kitchen. Inside, there were some workers

"Good morning ma'am," a female worker said.

"Good morning. Um, is it alright if I made breakfast?"

"Of course ma'am."

Khushi smiled. "Thanks."

Khushi got straight to work and happily worked, when Dai Ma came in.

"Good morning, bahu."

"Good morning, Dai Ma."

Khushi covered her head with her pallu and bent down to get Dai Ma's blessings.

"Having any troubles," Dai Ma asked.

Khushi shook her head. "No. One of the workers told me where which items are so I'm okay."

Dai Ma smiled. "Okay," and she left.

Khushi finished up with breakfast and was ready for it to be served. Helping the maids, she placed the food down in the dining room. Though they were now only four people, the table was enough for about thirty two people!

Within a few minutes, Aryan came downstairs. Khushi placed the last of the food and went to get blessings from Aryan.

"No, just a hug betiyan," Aryan smiled.

Khushi smiled and hugged him.

"And a kiss on the cheek for this old man."

Khushi giggled and kissed Aryan on the cheek.

"I see dad is trying to steal my girl."

The two looked up and saw Arnav come in. He looked drool-worthy, wearing a metallic gray button down and black skinny jeans. He went over to Aryan and gave his dad a hug.

"Morning dad," Arnav said.

"Morning son. Come sit. Khushi, you too."

"There's just one more thing I have to do," Khushi said.

Getting a small bowl, she filled it with kheer and went out the dining room. Dai Ma was just coming in as Khushi passed her. The three looked in confusion and followed her. When they found her, they found her in the pooja room, offering the bowl of kheer and praying.

Dai Ma watched in shock, as Aryan thought back to the old days, while admiring what Khushi was doing. Arnav crossed his arms and looked at Khushi.

That's my girl, he said in his head.

Dai Ma and Aryan put their hands together. Arnav on the other hand didn't, since he wasn't really a religious man (he has reasons, later to be revealed). Done with her prayer Khushi turned and saw everyone else. Arnav smiled at her and Khushi smiled back and went over to him. Aryan looked at her and smiled.

"You reminded me of the old days, when Arnav's mother was around," Aryan said with tears in his eyes.

Khushi felt bad and guilty for reminding him, but Aryan shook his head, understanding by her expression. Soon, the four went back to the dining room and began to eat breakfast.

"So Chote, what are the plans now," Aryan asked.

"Well, I was thinking of the island of the coast," Arnav replied.

"Oh, that place is beautiful," Dai Ma exclaimed. "Remember once when we went for that picnic?"

Arnav nodded, smiling. "Yeah. And it's perfect. What do you think, Khushi," he asked looking at her.

Khushi looked confused. "For what?"

"For your honeymoon, of course," Dai Ma said.

"What? But-"

"Of course, Khushi," Aryan said. "You and Chote have just gotten married so you two have to go."

"Um... I guess?"

Arnav smiled lightly and then looked at the others. "Then it's settled. Khushi and I will go to the island for our honeymoon."

"Great," Aryan said. "Then I suggest you two get packing right now."

"Right now," Khushi questioned.

Aryan nodded. "Of course betiyan."

"Wait we're leaving today?"

Arnav nodded.

"Oh..."

"Why?"

"Well, I though we were gonna at least stay here today."

Aryan smiled. "Betiyan, you will be here for the rest of your life now. So go, have some fun."

Khushi lightly smiled. "Okay," she nodded.

*~*

Khushi was in the middle of packing, when Arnav came out of nowhere and wrapped his arms around Khushi, making her gasp.

Arnav nuzzled her neck. "I can't wait till we get to the island."

Khushi shivered. "How long are we staying?"

"A week. Or two if you want."

Khushi gasped. "Can we stay that long? Won't it be really expensive?"

Arnav chuckled lightly. "Khushi, it's our island. So it's not a big deal."

"Your island?"

Arnav rested his chin in her shoulder and looked at her through the mirror. "Since dad's the ruler of the town, he has all rights to that island. So now, it's ours."

"Oh. That's amazing!"

Arnav smiled and pecked her cheek. "And I can't wait to show you our home there. And I can't wait to christen the bed."

Khushi looked at his reflection confusedly. "'Christen the bed'?"

Arnav nipped her ear. "You'll see," he whispered in her ear, and then left.

Khushi stood there confused. She finished her packing and turned to see Arnav holding two duffel bags.

"Ready babe," he asked.

Khushi nodded.

The two headed downstairs and got their blessings from the adults. The newly weds headed out and for in Arnav's car and drove off to the coast. They got out and got on a boat and headed off to the island.

All the while, Khushi wondered of what Arnav said. But adding the pieces together, she figured out that there was nothing but romance, pleasure, and erotica ahead for them. It made Khushi blush, knowing that they were going to "get to kno" each other better".

And secretly, Khushi couldn't wait.
