Chapter Twenty Eight

As the sun came up, it lit up the room, casting a shadow over Khushi, who was riding out one of the best orgasms of her life! Khushi came crashing down onto Arnav's chest, breathing heavily. Arnav's chest heaved rapidly, calming Khushi from her high. With the little strength he had regained, Arnav lifted his hand and placed it through Khushi's hair, tilting her head up.

"Happy first anniversary," Arnav breathed with a huge grin on his face.

Khushi grinned like a fool, her heart blooming. "Happy first anniversary!"

Arnav chuckled and turned her over, both laughing with joy.

*~*

"There they are," Aryan beamed. "Happy first anniversary," he cheered.

Arnav and Khushi came walking into the dining room to see a whole bunches roses all over the room. All the workers were in the room, each with a gift for the special couple. Both Arnav and Khushi smiled as Aryan came towards them and hugged them and gave them his blessing. One by one, the workers came up and gave them their gift and wishes, and both Arnav and Khushi felt blessed and loved. Once all the gifts were given, the workers went back to work and set out on making it a very special day and decorating the house.

As soon as the couple sat down, Dai Ma came in from the kitchen. She had specially made kheer, knowing especially how much Arnav loved it, and blessed the couple and gave them a gift. Everyone settled down for breakfast and Aryan spoke.

"What are your plans for the day," he asked.

" Well I did plan on a special evening for just the two of us," Arnav began, "but then I got threatened."

Aryan's spoon paused in the air. "Threatened?"

Khushi giggled. "Arnav's overreacting."

"Am not," Arnav defended. "If you were in my place when they said that stuff, you'd feel threatened."

Khushi rolled her eyes with a laugh while Aryan remained confused.

"Payal, Seema, and Lavanya are throwing a party for us," Khushi clarified.

Aryan scrunched his eyebrows. "I thought it was supposed to be a surprise."

"I know," Arnav said. "That's why I was threatened. They were going on and on about how I was ruining the surprise they planned and I got threatened that if I made any plans, I'd be done for."

"Oh come on Arnav, they won't do anything," Khushi said.

"When we were young, I broke Lavanya's mp3 player by accident. She super glued my hands together."

Khushi's eyes widened and she tried to hide her grin.

"And that's just her. Need I go on?"

Khushi shook her head but the grin remained.

"That was a rather... amusing incident," Aryan reflected, a grin on his face as well.

"Not funny," Arnav frowned. "She glued my hands in such a way that when I was out on the streets, people thought I was begging for money.

Everyone broke into a fit of laughter while Arnav frowned away. The laughter calmed and breakfast resumed. Once everyone was done, everyone split to their work. Arnav and Khushi headed to the office and when they arrived, employees were at the door with gifts and flowers for their bosses. The day went by well, gifts and flowers sent in from other company owners as their regards.

During their lunch break, Arnav had planned a little something special for the two. They went to a cute restaurant and spent time there. They had already ordered and we're in the middle of eating when Khushi's phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey Bhabi! Where you at," Lavanya said.

"Your brother has taken me out for lunch."

"What?!"

Arnav looked up. "Who is that?"

"He took you out even after I threatened to super glue his hands to his balls?!"

Khushi broke out into a fit of laughter. Arnav looked at her confusedly while people in the restaurant looked at her weirdly. Khushi calmed down and caught her breath.

"You did not threaten him with that," Khushi said, taking a sip of her water.

Arnav instantly knew who she was talking to and looked anywhere but at her.

"I did. You guys better not do anything in the evening," Lavanya threatened.

"I wouldn't dream of it," Khushi smiled.

"And that's why you're the best and Bhai isn't. See ya later!"

"Bye," and Khushi ended the call.

Khushi looked up at Arnav and saw the embarrassment on his face.

Khushi rested her chin on her folded hands. "So that's what you were threatened with," she smiled.

"... Payal and Seema agreed with her. And trust me, that girl would somehow do it."

"How," Khushi chuckled.

Arnav scoffed. "Trust me - you don't know her like Akash, NK, and I know her. That evil little...."

Khushi shook her head and chuckled. "You know you love her."

"Would I be alive if didn't?"

Khushi giggled. "How dramatic."

Arnav rolled his eyes.

Their lunch date came to an end and the two returned to work. They left early so that they had enough time to rest at home and then get ready for the party in the evening.

"What should I wear tonight," Khushi asked as she browsed through her clothes.

Arnav wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her shoulder. "You'll look beautiful no matter what you wear."

Khushi blushed slightly and turned her head to look at him. "You're so sweet," she smiled.

Arnav kissed her. "I know."

Khushi chuckled and looked back at her clothes. "So many choices but no clue on what to wear."

Arnav looked at Khushi's clothes when something came to his mind. Khushi was busy looking at some saris when she realized how quiet Arnav was. She looked back at him and found him lost in thought.

"Arnav? Is something wrong?"

Arnav snapped out of thought and let go of Khushi. Khushi looked at him confusedly as she watched him go through her clothes until he found her bridal wear.

"This. Wear this tonight," Arnav said.

"My bridal wear?"

"I remembered when I saw a picture of my parents first anniversary. Apparently it was tradition for the girl to wear her bridal wear at the first anniversary."

"It's a good thing you remembered."

Arnav and Khushi turned around and saw Dai Ma standing outside the or walk-in closet.

"Your father told me to remind you of that tradition," she smiled.

"Thanks Dai Ma," Arnav smiled.

"You two better get ready," she smiled, and then she left.

Khushi held her lehenga and gazed at it. "I can't believe it's been a year."

"Neither can I," Arnav smiled softly.

"Time is going by," Khushi sighed.

Arnav nodded. "Soon enough we'll have kids and-"

Khushi's eyes widened and she blushed at Arnav's words. Arnav caught the look on Khushi's face and smirked. Khushi glanced up at him to see he was smirking and she looked down, blush taking over her face. Arnav grinned and stood before her. He cupped her cheeks in his hands and tilted her face up, though Khushi felt shy and continued to look down.

"I wonder... if we had a daughter, would she look like you or would she be shy just like you."

Khushi blushed even harder and she pursed her lips as her smile grew.

Arnav smiled. "I'd love to have a mini you."

"... and if I wanted a mini you?"

Arnav grinned. "Then we'll both have you on the edge."

Khushi looked up at him and smiled. Arnav smiled as well and pulled Khushi into a hug.

"Someday," Khushi sighed.

Arnav pulled back and tilted Khushi's chin up. "All in good time," and he sealed her lips with a kiss.
